Oracle Consultant (Data Storage Migration)

We are seeking an Oracle Consultant/SME to join our team supporting our Commercial customer nationwide on projects involving data storage migrations. The key need is for someone who can discuss and advise on moving Oracle databases from one storage platform, such as NetApp, to Everpure, with a strong emphasis on the storage side of the migration rather than deep database administration alone.

We are looking for someone with Strong Oracle knowledge and Data Migration experience - folks who have done a large takeouts and advised senior officials on the advantages and pitfalls involved in implementations., The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert/advisor to Translucent on data migration projects. The position is part-time to begin, but if demand increases, there may be a path to full-time employment later, but only if project volume supports it. The consultant may need to join Zoom sessions on short notice, either throughout the day or a few times per week, depending on project needs.

• Familiarity with Oracle database installations, especially from a storage/configuration perspective.
• Ability to lay out storage for new database installs.
• Experience configuring target storage for Oracle database migrations.
• Comfort discussing storage migration planning and execution with customers.

Preferred Experience: Extensive Oracle experience relating to Storage and Data Migrations experience with one or more of the following technologies (Dell EMC Isilon, HPE, NetAPP , PURE similar storage systems.

Soft Skills:

Communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate should have strong people skills and be able to function as a credible consultant, not just technically strong. The emphasis is on finding someone who can communicate well with customers and operate effectively in consultative discussions., * Oracle consulting : 10 years (Preferred)

• Enterprise storage (Dell, NetApp, Pure, HPE): 5 years (Preferred)

• Part-time (Remote) to begin with occasional need to join Zoom sessions on short notice, either throughout the day or a few times per week, depending on project needs.
• Standard business hours
• This is a 1099 contractor position.

Pay: $100.00 - $175.00 per hour
