Experteer Overview As a Software Development Engineer on the MES team, you design, build, and deploy software that runs satellite production operations. You will create core MES capabilities for work orders, routing, data collection, traceability, and analytics, integrating shop-floor systems and enterprise tools. Your work enables repeatable, controlled manufacturing with real-time data management and high reliability. This role offers impact across Leo’s manufacturing facilities and contract sites, with opportunities to shape production processes and data integrity. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop MES features for work orders, routing, recipe management, data collection, and traceability * Build and maintain integrations between MES and shop floor control systems (e.g., Ignition) for real-time data exchange * Develop integrations between MES and ERP, PLM, and quality management platforms * Implement process enforcement logic to ensure correct sequencing and validations in manufacturing * Create data pipelines and reporting for production analytics, yield tracking, and KPI dashboards * Develop and maintain MES APIs and services for production teams * Write clean, production-grade code following team standards * Implement monitoring, alerts, and observability for MES services * Troubleshoot production MES issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes * Support MES upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes * Develop automated testing frameworks for MES features * Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint planning * Contribute to MES documentation including runbooks and procedures * Support UAT with manufacturing end-users and incorporate feedback * Participate in on-call rotations to maintain MES availability Tasks * 3+ years of non-internship software development experience * 2+ years in design or architecture of distributed systems, reliability, and scaling * 1+ years in software development engineer or related experience * 1+ years designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl * 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience * Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision) * RSUs and sign-on rewards * 401(k) matching * paid time off * parential leave * flexible spending accounts
