How the RPMS/FileMan/M/Cache Developer will make an impact:
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of developers to design, program, deploy, and support clinical applications which are part of the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS).
- Designs, develops, codes, tests, and debugs complex new software products; or makes significant enhancements to existing software.
- Analyzes, develops, and recommends technical solutions to support clientâs requirements in solving moderately complex application design issues, which may include network platform and system security considerations.
- Supports application user interface accessibility requirements by understanding and applying best-practice and industry standard approaches to application design and development.
- Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
- Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software and issues related to one or more clinical applications within the IHS RPMS system.
- Provides input to testers to validate software changes have been met.
- Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned., Operates and maintains unmanned aircraft systems in remote and austere environments. Plans missions, briefs customers, monitors weather and airspace requirements, delivers flight and payload data, analyzes mission results, and completes reports. Performs system testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, inventory control, and customer support while coordinating with subject matter experts. Requires frequent deployment, physical outdoor work, an active Secret DoW clearance, and an FAA Class 2 medical certificate. Requirements
Cache Design, FileMan (Inactive), M-Code, 8 + years of related experience, * Bachelorâs degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of Software Development experience in FileMan/M/Cache
- General experience includes information system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing.
- Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code.
Preferred skills and abilities:
- 3+ years of experience in the healthcare sector.
- Advanced knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS, CPRS, or legacy VISTA.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.
- Understanding of Agile processes and the related QA lifecycle.
- Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps.
Clearance:
Must be able to obtain an appropriate level Public Trust which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $129,813 - $146,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
