Software Engineer - Hybrid

This position is for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in ETL development, Ab Initio, PySpark, Python, and Oracle Database. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing existing ETL applications, providing production support, and leading the migration of ETL workloads from Ab Initio to PySpark. This role requires a strong technical contributor who can balance day-to-day operational support with strategic modernization initiatives while leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation., * Maintain, support, and enhance existing ETL applications and data integration workflows

• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of incidents
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy ETL solutions using Ab Initio, PySpark, and Python
• Lead and execute the migration of ETL jobs and data pipelines from Ab Initio to PySpark
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to support code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and migration activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration
• Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio or PySpark, Python, and Oracle Database
• Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise-scale data processing applications
• Experience with production support, incident management, and root cause analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Able to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week in the office

Desired skills:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and automated testing methodologies
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) to improve development productivity
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven experience migrating ETL jobs from legacy platforms to modern data processing frameworks
• Strong SQL skills
