Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be the frontline hero for resolving hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring seamless operation of desktop environments across our organization. Your expertise will empower users to work efficiently and confidently, while maintaining a secure and reliable IT infrastructure. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment., * Provide prompt and effective technical support to end-users experiencing hardware or software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, productivity applications, and specialized software tools
  • Maintain inventory of hardware assets and ensure proper deployment of new equipment
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and wired connections, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement updates, patches, and security protocols
  • Document support requests and resolutions accurately in ticketing systems for future reference
  • Support basic troubleshooting of peripherals such as printers, scanners, and external drives

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Proven experience in desktop support or a related IT role with a focus on end-user assistance

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware failures efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals including TCP/IP protocols and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles to assist in maintaining secure systems
  • Knowledge of quantum engineering is a plus, reflecting an interest in cutting-edge technological advancements, * Computer hardware: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Mobile device management: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Office 365: 3 years (Preferred)
  • SCCM: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Windows Troubleshothing: 3 years (Preferred)
