Job description
The selectee will perform as the Decision Technologies Model-Based Systems Engineer for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract., * Develop models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for a system and/or System-of-Systems (SoS) in line with established standards, best practices, policies, and procedures

Apply modeling techniques to support various stages of the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements setting, design, analysis, verification, and validation for systems or SoS

Provide crucial support to ensure that systems are designed and developed to be interoperable, facilitating effective communication and interaction among various system components

Produce detailed reports that inform and guide the management of MBSE and digital environment activities, aiding in strategic decision-making processes

Manage and coordinate information and resources effectively to achieve objectives related to the digital thread, ensuring seamless data integration and flow across the system lifecycle

Implement and promote a model-based culture within the organization, leveraging the capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure to enhance system development and operations

Utilize model data to enable the creation of a comprehensive digital thread that integrates with other engineering disciplines, such as cybersecurity and configuration management, fostering a holistic approach to system development.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline
-
At least 4 years’ experience as a model-based systems engineer (non-IT systems) for defense or aerospace systems
Desired Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in a relevant technical discipline
-
Direct experience with MBSE for specific Navy terminal defense systems such as RAM and CIWS.

Experience with DoD modeling frameworks, e.g., DoDAF, UAF, UPDM
-
Experience with Navy-specific modeling tools, e.g. Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Teamwork Cloud, the Navy High Performance Computing Center, Navy LIFT, etc.

Experience with the Navy modeling schema documented in the Integrated Capability Framework (ICF)
-
An active DoD SECRET clearance

Prior SIPR account and experience using SIPR systems

Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations
