SAP Developer - Customer Back Office Solutions

Experteer Overview As an SAP Developer at FirstEnergy, you help enable utility billing and competitive market operations through SAP solutions. You’ll partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver programs, reports, interfaces, and integrations. You’ll ensure solutions meet development standards and provide production support and testing. This role offers impact in critical billing processes and exposure to deregulated market activities within a safety- and reliability-focused utility. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and maintain SAP solutions for utility billing and deregulated market operations * Collaborate with business clients to translate requirements into technical specs * Create and support SAP programs, reports, interfaces, workflows, enhancements, and integrations * Adhere to development standards, security requirements, and best practices * Troubleshoot defects and production issues; perform root cause analysis * Develop and execute unit tests and support user acceptance testing * Document implemented solutions and support procedures * Provide day-to-day production support including incident resolution and monitoring * Support nightly batch processing and occasional after-hours activities Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline or equivalent work experience * SAP ABAP development experience * Working knowledge of SAP development lifecycle, transports, and production support * Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills * Ability to work independently and in a team; customer service mindset and continuous learning * Experience in software development and technical problem solving Key requirements * competitive pay * pension plan * 401(k) with matching employer contribution * medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and life insurance * tuition reimbursement and skills development training
