Job description

Design, build, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
Translate business requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions
Build and optimize integrations with internal and external data sources
Improve system performance, reliability, monitoring, and security
Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering-quality standards
Contribute to architecture decisions for cloud-based, distributed, or microservices systems
Collaborate effectively with remote product and engineering teams
Mentor engineers and help improve development processes, tooling, and documentation

Requirements

Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design
Hands-on experience in backend web development and software development for cloud-based or distributed systems
Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages, such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or Node.js
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design best practices
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Familiarity with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code-review workflows
Ability to communicate clearly and solve problems in a remote, collaborative environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience
Experience with scalable architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, HR technology, or marketplaces is a plus
