Java Backend Engineer

As a Senior Java Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust backend systems that support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with engineering, product, data, and analytics teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing solutions., * Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and support microservices architectures that integrate with internal and external platforms.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, to support data-driven applications and services.
• Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement best practices for software development, security, performance, testing, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within distributed systems and backend environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes.
• Leverage modern development tools and emerging technologies, including generative AI solutions, to improve application capabilities and developer efficiency.

• Strong proficiency in Java and experience developing applications with Spring Boot.
• Experience working with Kafka and MongoDB in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of API development, RESTful services, and microservice architectures.
• Experience with system integrations and distributed backend systems.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery.
• Experience with NoSQL databases and data modeling for large-scale applications.
• Understanding of modern backend frameworks, software design patterns, and scalable architecture principles.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills., * Experience supporting large-scale retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing platforms.
• Familiarity with Apache Hadoop or other enterprise data platforms.
• Experience implementing or integrating generative AI (GenAI) technologies into applications or workflows.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Experience designing highly available and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
