Job description
Busy, fast-paced, forward thinking medical company is seeking a full-time IT Staff member with a cybersecurity focus, to provide our internal companies and users with technical support and to assist our IT team as they build out new business capabilities. Cybersecurity interest and experience is a plus.
The day to day work of the selected candidate will be supporting end users at our pharmacy and office locations during regular business hours in Albuquerque, Las Cruces and Carlsbad under the direction of the CIO and SysAdmin. Some weekend work may be required for installs, updates, and routine maintenance. If travel is required to our out-of-town locations, a company vehicle will be supplied.
Typical software that the new hire will run in to and deal with include Windows, Linux, MacOS and associated productivity software suites. Typical hardware will include PCs, laptops, desktop printers, tablets, network switches, firewalls, and thermal printers. The successful candidate will have solid foundational IT knowledge and want to learn more about topics including: virtualization, HIPAA/HITECH, cybersecurity, cloud operations, hardware and networking., * Troubleshoot Windows, Office365, Adobe Acrobat, Linux, and MacOS software issues to determine a solution
- Troubleshoot and fix basic issues with office (laser, inkjet) and thermal printers
- Research issues to find solutions to software and hardware problems with inkjet and thermal printers
- Install or uninstall computer software and hardware in office, medical, or server environments
- Speak with software vendors, executives, and pharmacy staff to aid them in troubleshooting software issues
- Assisting the SysAdmin and CIO in their duties as assigned
- Some travel required (Las Cruces, Carlsbad)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and Some college (hopefully in IT)
- IT help desk and technical support experience - Windows, MacOS, Linux (any experience is worthwhile) Aptitude with computers and desire to learn more
- Printer Troubleshooting experience is a plus
- IT Certifications are desired: CompTIA A+, Network+ etc
- Any programming related experience is a plus, * Help desk: 1 year (Preferred)
- Windows: 1 year (Preferred)
