Data Analyst II

Performs in-depth data analyses and reporting. Communicates results through presentations, reports, and memos to internal stakeholders. Uses data to improve business processes and decision-making., Role Summary: The Data Analyst II serves as a strategic partner to Operations and Compliance leadership, transforming complex operational data into actionable insights that improve performance, and support informed decision-making. This role combines advanced analytical capabilities with strong business acumen to identify trends, evaluate operational effectiveness, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, challenge assumptions through data-driven analysis, and communicate insights that influence operational and strategic priorities.

This role requires strong technical depth, including SQL expertise and advanced Power BI capabilities (data modeling, DAX, and report development), but success is equally dependent on the ability to think critically, solve complex business problems, and translate analytical findings into meaningful recommendations for leaders. The ideal candidate will be capable of moving beyond report development to identify business opportunities, diagnose operational issues, and provide recommendations that drive decision-making and measurable improvements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs in-depth data analyses and reporting.

• Communicates results through presentations, reports, and memos to internal stakeholders.

• Uses data to improve business processes and decision-making.

• Utilize analytical skills and available tools to perform in-depth analysis of both internal and 3rd party data to provide business recommendations.

• Create customized presentations and reports that effectively and clearly communicate results to stakeholders.

• Act as liaison between various departments for data collection and reporting.

• Create reports based on business needs.

• Build, manage and analyze internal data sets by utilizing data analysis skills.

• Examine data sets and reports to ensure accuracy and data integrity.

• Clearly communicate analytic results and post-event summaries to improve future business decisions.

• Independently analyze data to identify significant differences, relationships and trends.

• Translate customer data needs into concrete data mining tasks and execute them.

• Improve data reporting and presentation methods.

• Effectively present information management concepts and methods to non-technical users.

• Assist with other analyses as requested by management.

• Identify cause and solution of any data bugs or errors.

• Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

• Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business administration, math, statistics, related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience.

In addition to education, this role typically calls for two to four years of relevant professional experience (Minimum of one-year relevant experience is required).

Experience

Experience with Microsoft Excel functions, including but not limited to:

• Complex formulas

• Pivot tables

• Charts

• Queries

• Macros

Working knowledge of SAS or Microsoft Power BI products.

Interact with data sources using various techniques, including:

• SQL Queries

• Imports and exports

• Report Development

• Data Visualizations

Working knowledge of information extraction and analysis techniques, and practices.

Identify data relationships, complete data mining, and to create analytic solutions.

Working knowledge of statistical methods and data mining preferred.

Demonstrated ability of strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and prioritizing.

Interact and communicate effectively.
