Job description

Our client is seeking a QA Tester to support a high-profile Medicaid benefits initiative driven by new legislative and policy changes impacting eligibility and benefits administration. This individual will be responsible for validating Salesforce-based applications and functionality that support Medicaid programs, ensuring system enhancements, business rules, eligibility determinations, and workflows meet regulatory and operational requirements. The role will focus heavily on manual testing activities including test planning, test case development, execution, defect tracking, and collaboration with business and technical teams to ensure system quality, data integrity, and user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), with experience performing functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API testing. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts, reviewing business and technical requirements, validating complex Medicaid eligibility rules, documenting and tracking defects through resolution, and utilizing tools such as Jira and Xray to manage testing efforts. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and quickly learning complex Medicaid business processes. While the primary focus is manual testing, experience with Selenium, Postman, SQL data validation, and automated testing frameworks is highly desirable to support future automation initiatives.

Requirements

5+ years of QA testing experience supporting Medicaid, healthcare benefits, or eligibility systems. Strong hands-on experience with manual testing, including test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management. Experience testing Salesforce applications, workflows, and integrations. Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC methodologies with experience performing functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Experience using Jira, Xray, or similar test management tools, with the ability to analyze requirements and translate complex business rules into comprehensive test coverage. Exposure to Selenium, Postman/API testing, and SQL validation preferred.

Benefits & conditions

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
