Experteer Overview As the SchoolTool Software Engineering Manager, you lead multiple engineering teams responsible for the ongoing evolution of the SchoolTool platform. You will shape technical strategy, drive delivery excellence, and partner with Product, UX, QA, Support, and CloudOps to deliver secure, scalable software for schools. You will coach engineers, manage performance, and advance AI-assisted development in a measurable way. This role offers the chance to drive modernization, improve reliability, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes across teams. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and develop multiple software engineering teams through regular feedback, mentorship, and career planning * Foster a collaborative, accountable engineering culture focused on high-quality delivery * Support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning to build scalable teams * Drive delivery by managing priorities, technical debt, production support, and platform modernization * Coordinate release planning, OKRs, risk management, and operational readiness for product delivery * Partner with Product, UX, QA, Support, CloudOps, and stakeholders to align priorities and dependencies * Lead technical responses to production issues and incidents with effective coordination * Collaborate with senior engineers to define architectural direction, standards, and maintainability * Advance software quality via improved engineering practices, automation, observability, security, and modernization * Champion AI-assisted software development across planning, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting with responsible AI practices Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng or related field or equivalent experience * 7+ years of software engineering experience with leadership across multiple teams * Proven experience coaching engineers and developing high-performing teams * Experience delivering enterprise software with active customers, ongoing production support, and regular releases * Strong background in architecture, scalable design, legacy modernization, and secure development * Experience with .NET, C#, RESTful APIs, relational databases, and modern web app architecture * Experience with Blazor, .NET MAUI, design systems, and shared component libraries * Experience with AWS or other cloud environments, deployment automation, monitoring, observability, and Azure DevOps or similar tools * Experience collaborating with Product, UX, QA, Support, CloudOps in Agile environments * Strong written and verbal communication suitable for technical and non-technical audiences * Experience leading engineering transformation and modern development practices * Experience using or leading AI-assisted software development workflows is strongly preferred Key requirements * Hybrid Work Environment * Flexible Time Off * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * 401(k) with Company Match * Company-Paid Life and Disability Insurance * Professional Development Opportunities
