Job description

The Semiconductor Technician supports semiconductor manufacturing operations by operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment in a cleanroom environment. This role works closely with engineers and production teams to maintain equipment reliability, product quality, and efficient manufacturing processes., * Operate and monitor semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment.

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and equipment-related issues.
  • Monitor equipment performance, alarms, and process parameters to identify abnormalities.
  • Perform equipment adjustments, component replacements, calibrations, and basic repairs.
  • Follow detailed SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Maintain proper cleanroom gowning and PPE requirements to prevent contamination.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, repairs, and production information accurately.
  • Use hand tools, test equipment, computers, and diagnostic systems during maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Work with engineers and other technicians to identify root causes and resolve equipment issues.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and qualification activities.
  • Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure equipment and processes meet specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, electronics, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, electrical test equipment, and computerized systems.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow highly structured procedures.

Education/Training/Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Technical training/certifications preferred, * Are you authorized to work in the United States? (Required)
