Job description

Provide enterprise network support across NYS infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, and data center networks.
Perform network troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, implementation, and technical support.
Support routing, switching, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, fiber/DWDM and related network technologies as applicable to the position.
Conduct network/site surveys, equipment installation, cabling and related field activities for Site Survey positions.
Support Cisco/VoIP and Unified Communications environments for applicable positions.
Design, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot hybrid cloud network infrastructure for Cloud Network positions.
Support AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform cloud networking and on-premises-to-cloud connectivity.
Perform network performance analysis, troubleshooting, documentation and capacity planning.
Provide escalation and/or 24x7x365 on-call support for applicable senior-level positions.
Travel anywhere within New York State as required.

Requirements

Education and experience meeting the specific minimum requirements for the applicable job title.
Relevant enterprise network support, engineering, site survey, Unified Communications, network operations, or cloud networking experience as applicable.
Demonstrated experience with the required technologies for the specific position.
Candidates must be able to provide exact month/year employment dates to document required experience.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout New York State on short notice.
Availability for applicable evening, weekend, overnight and/or on-call requirements.
NYS/state/local government experience is preferred.
