Job description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Temporary Data Analyst to support calibration system evaluations and engineering teams. This role is ideal for individuals who can provide analytical support and contribute to short term technical projects involving measurement data and performance assessments.

As a Temporary Data Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze calibration and measurement data to identify trends in accuracy, drift, stability, and longterm device performance.

  • Clean, organize, and process data to support engineering studies and evaluation efforts.

  • Assist teams in enhancing data workflows, logging processes, and automated reporting.

  • Compare device specifications and measurement outputs to evaluate calibration standards.

  • Create charts, visual reports, and summaries that communicate key insights to engineering and technical staff.

  • Support documentation efforts by preparing data summaries, performance notes, and analytical findings.

  • Provide analytical support during testing periods or data collection cycles.

  • Assist engineers in data-driven validation of DC/Lowfrequency calibration standards.

  • Maintain clear records of analytical work for future reference and technical reporting.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology

  • Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or another data-focused programming language.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interpret complex data clearly.

  • Interest in learning calibration, measurement techniques, and DC/Low frequency systems.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with measurement devices or calibration tools

  • Certificates in Excel, Copilot data processing, Tableau, or related analytics methods

Schedule:M-F, 8-5; 12 weeks
