Job description
GoHPT (Goal-Oriented Human Performance Technologies, LLC) is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to support a federal cybersecurity program responsible for securing and modernizing enterprise cloud environments supporting mission-critical systems.
This role supports a large federal environment responsible for cloud security architecture, continuous monitoring, security automation, and compliance activities across cloud-hosted applications and infrastructure. The selected individual will provide technical leadership for cloud design and security architecture initiatives while partnering closely with cybersecurity teams, engineers, system owners, and government stakeholders.
This position requires onsite support in Washington, DC (20534). Remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures supporting federal systems and applications
- Lead cloud security design and modernization activities across enterprise environments
- Develop and maintain secure networking architectures, including:
- AWS Direct Connect
- VPC architecture
- Reverse proxy configurations
- AWS native firewall services
- Hybrid cloud connectivity
- Network segmentation
- Support implementation of continuous monitoring (ConMon) capabilities for cloud systems
- Support development of AI-enabled automation capabilities for security and compliance activities
- Work with security teams to automate collection and analysis of compliance artifacts across cloud environments
- Analyze and interpret security findings from cloud and enterprise security tools
- Support cloud vulnerability identification and remediation efforts
- Develop cloud architecture standards and technical recommendations
- Support executive briefings and technical presentations, Goal-Oriented Human Performance Technologies (GoHPT) delivers cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise IT services supporting federal agencies and mission partners. Our teams help agencies improve security posture, manage risk, modernize technology environments, and deliver secure mission outcomes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vulnerability management?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Master’s degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cloud and cloud security solutions supporting federal systems
- Strong knowledge of:
- AWS networking
- AWS Direct Connect
- AWS Outposts
- Reverse proxy configurations
- AWS firewall technologies
- Cloud automation technologies
- Demonstrated experience implementing Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) capabilities
- Experience developing or supporting automated compliance and security monitoring capabilities
- Experience reviewing and analyzing security event information from SIEM platforms such as:
- Splunk
- Security analytics tools
- Enterprise monitoring platforms
- Experience with AWS security services including:
- GuardDuty
- Security Hub
- Amazon Inspector
- Strong understanding of:
- Data encryption at rest and in transit
- SSL/TLS implementation
- Cloud vulnerability assessment and remediation
Preferred Qualifications
- DOJ or Bureau of Prisons experience
- FedRAMP experience
- Experience with multi-account AWS environments
- Experience with AI/ML-based compliance automation
- Experience supporting High Value Assets (HVAs)
- AWS cloud certifications
- Experience supporting Zero Trust initiatives
