Job description
- Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions and assembly drawings
- Tests condenser bushings to applicable specifications to meet industry standards and customer requirements
- Works with bulk bushings, oil-filled and epoxy condenser bushings with porcelain or HTV silicone insulators, machined aluminum and copper components, glass and epoxy sight bowls, mineral oil, ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and cleaning solvents
- Able to communicate test results and/or failure modes effectively to supervisor, design or manufacturing engineer, or quality department
- Continuously train on new equipment or new processes required to test power bushings
- Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely
- Accurately document and communicate test results and failures
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or two-year certificate in Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity, Electronics Technology or related field
- Two years’ experience in product testing or quality assurance or closely related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
