Job description

  • Must be able to read and comprehend safety procedures, work instructions and assembly drawings
  • Tests condenser bushings to applicable specifications to meet industry standards and customer requirements
  • Works with bulk bushings, oil-filled and epoxy condenser bushings with porcelain or HTV silicone insulators, machined aluminum and copper components, glass and epoxy sight bowls, mineral oil, ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and cleaning solvents
  • Able to communicate test results and/or failure modes effectively to supervisor, design or manufacturing engineer, or quality department
  • Continuously train on new equipment or new processes required to test power bushings
  • Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely
  • Accurately document and communicate test results and failures

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or two-year certificate in Engineering Technology, Industrial Electricity, Electronics Technology or related field
  • Two years’ experience in product testing or quality assurance or closely related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
