Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer within PNC’s Retail Tech organization, you will be based in Home Location SC., * Strong experience supporting and managing Candescent (formerly NCR) or similar Remote Deposit/Capture platforms.

  • Java and Microservices/API development, integration, and support.
  • OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) deployment and administration.
  • Windows Server and Linux administration.
  • Connect: Direct administration and managed file transfer support.
  • Microsoft SQL Server database support, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Software build, deployment, release, and environment management.
  • Vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security compliance.
  • Production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Vendor management and coordination for upgrades, issue resolution, and roadmap planning.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills., * Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives and driving projects from concept through production., * Experience with Remote Deposit Capture, banking payments, or financial services applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with application resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
  • Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Shell, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Agile delivery and SDLC experience.

Key Attributes: Self-starter, strong ownership mentality, capable of leading strategic initiatives with minimal supervision, and comfortable balancing application engineering, operational support, vendor management, and team leadership responsibilities.

This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs.
