Job description
Responsible for planning and managing multiple medium to large-sized projects from initiation through implementation. This position manages project status and communications, resources, change requests, risks, and issues to ensure optimal progress. This role actively participates in providing outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships. In addition, this position ensures that project objectives are met within the specified time frame and budget. Additionally, this role coordinates with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Responsibilities for this role include project planning, resource management, risk mitigation, customer service, and team coordination.
- Manages multiple projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and scope-compliant delivery.
- Facilitates the development of project scope statements, defining key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to develop Work Breakdown Structures and project schedules, identifying predecessors, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Negotiates and influences cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluates actual progress, provides regular schedule updates, and manages conflicts, issues, and risks through to resolution.
- Proactively manages changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, identifying impacts and providing recommendations.
- Updates project tracking systems to monitor details including resource allocation, change requests, issues, risks, overdue tasks, key decisions, milestones, and deliverables, providing formal and ad hoc reports as needed.

Requirements
- Office 365 Suite [Required]
- Working knowledge in IT project management methodologies, including but not limited to the Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Agile [Required]
- Proficient with project management tool(s) such as Microsoft Project Online or Jira [Required]
- Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills - oral, written, presentation, formal and informal [Required]
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills and excellent troubleshooting skills [Required]
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment [Required]
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and problems, determining the root cause and identifying a resolution quickly [Required]
- Ability to use situational thinking - utilizing analytical, creative, implicative, strategic and tactical thinking techniques based on the scenario [Required]
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to interact with senior executives [Required]
- Specific subject matter expertise based on assignment (examples: Agile SDLC, Healthcare, ERP solutions, etc.) [Required]
Education:
- Bachelor’s [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 5+ experience managing large, complex it projects [Required]
- Experience in leading, supporting, and working with matrix project team [Required]
- Experience managing vendors based on contractual obligations [Required]
- Experience with stakeholder identification, analysis and management, including executive level stakeholders [Required]
- Experience working in a Healthcare Industry [Preferred]
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment [Required]
- Proven experience managing 3-5 complex IT projects simultaneously [Required]
- SDLC experience with Waterfall or Agile [Preferred]
- Experience in Ambulatory, Revenue Cycle and Population Health. [Highly Preferred]
- Preferred experience with Epic or similar electronic medical records., * Project Management Professional (PMP) [Required] AND
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) [Preferred] OR
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) [Preferred] OR
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) [Preferred]
