Job description

We are looking for experienced Software Developers to support the delivery of Java-based services for a Government client. You will work in an Agile environment, building, testing and deploying secure, scalable applications., * Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot services.

  • Build integrations using Kafka, MongoDB and AWS services where required.
  • Write automated unit and BDD tests.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployments.
  • Work collaboratively within an Agile delivery team.

Requirements

  • Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience.
  • Experience with Kafka and MongoDB.
  • Basic understanding of Docker images and containers.
  • Unit testing and TDD.
  • Gherkin-style BDD testing; Cucumber preferred.
  • Experience with a CI/CD tool such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.

Desirable skills

  • AWS services, including SQS, S3, SNS and/or KMS.
  • GitLab CI/CD.
  • Cucumber.
  • Load-testing tools such as Gatling or k6.
  • Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
