Job description
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support an organization’s IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of servers, systems, networks, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting technical issues, administering enterprise environments, and supporting end users in a fast-paced business setting., * Administer and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, virtual environments, and core infrastructure systems
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal operations
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade operating systems, software, and hardware
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, permissions, and access controls
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Troubleshoot server, network, storage, and system-related issues in a timely manner
- Maintain cloud-based systems and hybrid environments as needed
- Partner with IT teams and business stakeholders on infrastructure projects and system improvements
- Document procedures, configurations, and technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with company security standards and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of systems administration experience in a corporate IT environment
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware or Hyper-V, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and backup tools
- Familiarity with networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP, and firewalls
- Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, or Azure are a plus
Preferred Skills
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint management
