Job description
- Work with the program leadership team to define program-level architecture and engineering needs.
- Apply system knowledge and engineering methodologies to help design new capabilities and enhancements to the operational baseline
- Advise the program engineering team on network optimization opportunities and provide design recommendations.
- Define system requirements for new capabilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation, including accurate, current network diagrams and system architecture records.
- Prepare and brief technical and programmatic updates related to system integration, implementation progress, and operational status.
- Produce reports, presentation materials, baseline documentation, and meeting support materials for technical and leadership audiences.
- Maintain authorized-user records, system configurations, and related operational documentation.
- Generate routine and on-demand configuration management reports to support government oversight, compliance, and decision-making
- Evaluate and test current and emerging technologies for integration into the network as new or enhanced capabilities.
- Create/update end user documentation such as user guides
Requirements
- Requires BS in Engineering (or a related discipline) and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience. May consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with network systems engineering methodologies
- Experience with architecture diagrams
- Experience performing requirements analysis
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong customer relation skills
- Clearance: US Secret clearance required, * Experience supporting or strong familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) networks and services.
- Experience or familiarity with non-terrestrial network communication systems. Specifically pLEO (Proliferated Low Earth Orbit) or Low Earth Orbit (LEO) technologies.
- Experience with network layered encryption topologies and methodologies.
- Experience with ITIL service delivery concepts and best practices.
- Experience with change, configuration and performance management NetOps concepts.
- Experience with system security, design, and architecture.
