Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to support Meta’s DCPerf team, which develops and maintains a strategic open-source datacenter benchmarking platform used to evaluate server performance across Meta’s infrastructure. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working at the intersection of software development, systems performance, Linux infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and hardware benchmarking. You will help drive the development, maintenance, and modernization of benchmarking tools that directly influence datacenter hardware decisions and future server platform evaluations. What You’ll Do

  • Execute DCPerf and industry-standard benchmarks across multiple server generations.
  • Analyze benchmark results, performance metrics, microarchitecture data, and power consumption trends.
  • Develop and maintain Python-based automation and reporting solutions.
  • Build and support internal and open-source CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration testing frameworks.
  • Improve test coverage and overall software quality.
  • Create and enhance automated result-reporting workflows.
  • Drive DCPerf containerization initiatives using modern container technologies.
  • Develop and maintain open-source installation and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and hardware partners to identify performance issues and optimize benchmarking processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Experience with Shell/Bash scripting.
  • Strong Linux systems knowledge and command-line proficiency.
  • Experience with performance analysis, profiling, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with SQL, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
  • Understanding of computer systems and CPU architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills., * Experience working with benchmarking, performance engineering, or systems optimization.
  • Knowledge of CPU microarchitecture and server hardware performance.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar.
  • C/C++ development experience.
  • Open-source software contribution experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or datacenter environments.
