Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Senior z/OS Communications Server Systems Programmer to support IBM z/OS environments. The successful candidate will have deep hands-on experience with z/OS Communications Server, TCP/IP networking, VTAM, and associated communications technologies.

This is a senior technical role requiring the ability to independently analyze complex communications issues, perform system-level configuration and maintenance, troubleshoot production problems, and work effectively with other mainframe infrastructure and application teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level systems programming support for z/OS Communications Server.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot z/OS Communications Server components.

  • Strong expertise with TCP/IP and VTAM in an enterprise z/OS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with:

  • TCP/IP stack configuration and troubleshooting
  • VTAM
  • TN3270/TN3270E
  • FTP/SFTP
  • SMTP
  • AT-TLS
  • IPSec
  • Enterprise Extender
  • OSA-Express

Strong knowledge of z/OS networking architecture and communications protocols.

Knowledge of CL/Supersession and/or Data21 Intersession
