- Configure and maintain z/OS Communications Server (VTAM, TCP/IP) supporting mission-critical banking workloads
- Engineer TCP/IP stacks, OSA interfaces, routing, VIPA/DVIPA, and Sysplex Distributor
- Support SNA/APPN/Enterprise Extender (EE) for legacy and hybrid banking applications
- Design and support TN3270 connectivity for internal/external users and vendor integrations
- Implement and manage security, compliance, and data protection protocols including AT-TLS, IPSec, and Policy Agent (PAGENT)
Requirements
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Mainframe Network / System Engineer III (z/OS TCP/IP & VTAM) to join their team. As a Mainframe Network / System Engineer III (z/OS TCP/IP & VTAM), you will be part of the Infrastructure Support team supporting critical banking operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to technology challenges, which will align successfully in the organization., * 10+ years of experience in z/OS Communications Server (VTAM, TCP/IP)
- Deep expertise in TCP/IP, SNA, VTAM, enterprise routing, and DNS
- Hands-on experience with Policy Agent (AT-TLS, IPSec) and secure file transfer protocols (Connect: Direct, SFTP, FTPS)
- Proficiency with NetView or equivalent monitoring tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills in high-volume, production environments supporting Parallel Sysplex architectures (DVIPA/Sysplex Distributor)
