Application Architect III

We are seeking an Application Architect to join our Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This team provides enterprise technical standards and common services, platforms, and tools used by delivery teams across the organization. The ideal candidate will be an independent, ownership-focused technical leader responsible for understanding requirements, designing solutions, and partnering with teammates in a matrix environment to improve the developer experience and advance our technology platforms., * Lead the solution design of common services, platforms, and tools within the portfolio.

• Improve the experience for developers by making it easier to deliver solutions while managing work efficiently.
• Advance technology platforms through innovation and reduce risk by aligning to a single enterprise architecture strategy.
• Design, develop, and partner with nearshore and offshore teammates on project delivery.
• Handle multiple tasks and adapt to a changing environment, demonstrating a proven track record in project delivery in an agile setting.
• Communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business, and leadership.
• Perform hands-on proof-of-concept work to assess the applicability and impact of new technologies and patterns.
• Provide clear, concise technical guidance to delivery partners and comprehensive status updates to program management.

Experience: A strong working knowledge of DevOps, PowerShell, databases, .NET technologies, or Java/J2EE application programming is required. The candidate must have excellent software design, build, test, and documentation skills., * Broad experience designing solutions across platforms like Linux, Windows, Java, .Net, Python, and Javascript.

• Technical expertise with DevOps automation technologies including Jenkins, Ansible/Tower, Jira, Git/Bitbucket, Artifactory, SonarQube, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
• Design or development experience with complex, integrated, high-volume applications for resiliency and performance.
• Knowledge of security aspects of integrated system design, including protocols like AAA and token-based authentication (oAuth/oIDC).
• Process expertise across the software development lifecycle (SDLC): requirements, build, test, deploy, release, and operate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Production-level experience with microservices/SOA enabling tools such as API Management, Kubernetes/Docker, and service gateways/meshes.
• Experience with agile methodologies, routines, and tools.
• Technical experience with web application UI frameworks like Angular or React.
