Job description

Design, develop, document, and release independently and in-team new Javabased software features and API services
Build and maintain scalable, secure backend microservices using modern Java frameworks (Java 17+ to Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x)
Design cloud-native applications leveraging hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS preferred; GCP a plus)
Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, or equivalent)
Package applications using Docker and orchestrate via Kubernetes.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines (Aure Pipelines or Gitlab Actions) to ensure seamless, reliable delivery
Solving incidents and communicating with the Functional Analysts
Weekly Guard duty on the whole perimeter of the assigned team

Requirements

Minimum 4 years in a Java Developer role
Back-end: ,Java EE, Spring Boot, Microservices with Java 17 & Spring Boot 3.X as concrete hands-on experience
API & Web Services: REST hands-on experience
Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure (or equivalent major cloud provider) in a Cloud-Native setup
Messaging & Batch-Processing: Modern message broker experience like AWS SQS/SNS, Azure Servicebus or Apache Kafka for event-based communication & Spring Batch for our batch processing;
Testing: Junit
Databases: any modern relational DB
CI/CD: Azure Pipelines or Gitlab Actions as a minimum
Languages Fluent in French or Dutch, and excellent understanding of English.
