About the position You will play a key role in the successful delivery of technical projects with significant software components across a range of sectors. This is a highly customer-facing role requiring close collaboration with sales, engineering, and client teams to shape, secure, and deliver innovative software solutions. Role Full time role, reporting to The Head of Project Management Office based in Great Chesterford, Essex. Hybrid working environment with minimum of 3 days in the office. Travel to UK and international clients where required to deliver projects, or support sales Responsibilities Lead the planning and delivery of software-led projects, often alongside electronics or embedded systems teams, across a range of industries. Maintain strong, professional relationships and ensure clear communication at all levels, both internally and with clients. Requirements
a technical lead. Drive high performance in project teams, providing motivation, leadership, and proactive problem-solving. Apply structured project management approaches, including Agile methodologies, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Microsoft Project. Ensure clear reporting and governance throughout the project lifecycle. Support continuous improvement in project delivery processes, with a particular focus on software project lifecycle best practices. The Person Proven experience managing complex software development projects Strong emotional intelligence and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide high-performing teams. A confident and clear communicator, able to engage credibly with clients ranging from engineers to senior executives. Technically fluent, with a good understanding of modern software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, and testing frameworks. Holds a technical degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline. Familiarity with established tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Jira, Confluence, Git, and Microsoft Project Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, consultancy-style environment with frequent client interaction and changing priorities.
