Infrastructure Engineer

Leading edge client requires long term contractor to join a DevOps Applications and Infrastructure (inside IR35) The role will support engineering teams by providing data analysis, feedback on issues and trends, and clear reporting on actions, status, risks and progress.

Role will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and contracted resources to ensure issues are understood, prioritised and progressed through root-cause analysis, corrective and preventative action.

Supporting, installing and maintaining Servers and related systems; planning for and responding to service outages; supporting systems-related projects; and helping to implement infrastructure improvements aligned to business strategy, technology change, capacity requirements, resilience and security needs.

• Linux Red Hat, ideally RHCE version 8/9.
• Server build, configuration and network integration, preferably Dell.
• NetApp storage with NFS, TCP/IP, LDAP, NIS and DHCP.
• FlexLM licence management, ideally linked to Cadence or Synopsys, plus experience with automation tools and distributed compute environments such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Grid Engine, OCS, LSF or Slurm.
