Job description

  • Helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework.

  • Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance.

  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline.

  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.

  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders).

  • Help teams implement changes effectively.

  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.

  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity.

  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working. on it

  • Facilitate the Agile development process and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Coach and mentor the development team on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and self-organization to foster high-performing, cross-functional teams.

  • Serve as a servant leader, removing impediments and ensuring the team has the necessary resources and support to deliver quality software on time.

  • Collaborate with the product owner to manage the product backlog, prioritize user stories, and ensure alignment between business objectives and development efforts.

  • Promote and enforce Agile values, principles, and practices, and create an environment that fosters continuous improvement, learning, and adaptability.

  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and trust among team members and stakeholders.

  • Track and report team progress, sprint metrics, and project status to stakeholders, facilitating communication and visibility of project outcomes.

  • Identify and resolve conflicts within the team and facilitate constructive problem-solving discussions to promote team harmony and collaboration.

  • Continuously monitor and assess team dynamics, identifying opportunities to enhance teamwork, communication, and productivity.

  • Stay up to date with Agile and Scrum best practices, industry trends, and emerging methodologies, sharing knowledge and promoting continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role

  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM)

  • Experience with SAFe Framework

  • Strong software development knowledge and understanding

  • SAFe certification
