Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain highly available network infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud networking, VPC/VNet architecture, VPN connectivity, dedicated cloud connections, load balancing, content delivery, and cloud-native network security.

The Cloud Network Engineer will collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure network connectivity across enterprise environments., * Design, implement, and manage cloud network architectures across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.

  • Configure and administer VPCs, VNets, subnets, route tables, gateways, and network segmentation.
  • Design and maintain secure connectivity between on-premises data centers and cloud environments using VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and Azure ExpressRoute.
  • Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site VPNs, private connectivity, routing, DNS, and network traffic flows.
  • Implement and manage cloud load balancing solutions to provide high availability, scalability, and optimal application performance.
  • Configure and manage Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions to improve application performance and global content delivery.
  • Implement cloud-native security controls using cloud firewalls, Network Security Groups (NSGs), security groups, and network access controls.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, latency, connectivity, and security events across cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving routing, VPN connectivity, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Develop and maintain network standards, architecture diagrams, configurations, and operational documentation.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement network segmentation, least-privilege access, and secure connectivity.
  • Support cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, disaster recovery, and network optimization initiatives.
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and resolution of critical network issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud networking.
  • 3+ years of experience working with:
  • AWS VPC and/or Azure VNet
  • Subnets and route tables
  • VPN connectivity
  • AWS Direct Connect
  • Azure ExpressRoute
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud load balancers and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud-native firewalls and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, NAT, and network security principles.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise and hybrid-cloud network environments.
  • Strong understanding of high availability, network segmentation, and secure cloud architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with both AWS and Microsoft Azure networking services.
  • Experience with AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, AWS Network Firewall, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Application Load Balancer (ALB), Network Load Balancer (NLB), Azure Load Balancer, and Application Gateway.
  • Knowledge of CloudFront, Azure Front Door, or other CDN technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, Zero Trust, and compliance requirements.
  • Relevant AWS, Azure, or networking certifications are a plus.
