Job description

  • Lead the creation of embedded Power BI reports, ensuring functional requirements and performance needs are met.
  • Develop complex DAX calculations to support dynamic filtering, time intelligence, and advanced business logic.
  • Build and enhance robust data models using proven best practices for performance.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage report embedding using service principals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into actionable BI solutions.
  • Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on expert Power BI development experience including calculated fields, slicers / filters, and visual calculations.
  • Expert-level DAX skills, including advanced time intelligence, dynamic measures, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of Power BI Service, Fabric, and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with embedding Power BI reports in external portals and enforcing RLS via user context.
  • Familiarity with clinical or laboratory data is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in writing SQL queries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and service principal authentication.
  • Background in healthcare or laboratory informatics.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate helpful
