Job description
Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommissioning process.
Run, label, and stage power and networking cables.
Follow procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads.
Prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, and standard procedures.
Perform post-execution quality checks and verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
Apply advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify the cause(s) of issues.
Follow procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate data center operations management units and Technician Leads.
Target pay for this position is $20-22/HR.
The hours for the openings are Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday 6A-6P and Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday 6A-6P.
Requirements
1+ years’ experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
