Data Center Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure, including networking equipment, cabling systems, and telecommunications hardware. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of critical data center systems, supporting our commitment to reliable and efficient digital services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in computer networking, electrical systems, and telecommunications, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and technical support., * Install, configure, and maintain network cabling including structured cabling systems such as Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.

• Perform fiber splicing and termination to ensure optimal data transmission performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Avaya communication systems.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of low-voltage electrical wiring for power distribution within data centers.
• Perform equipment repairs using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards.
• Document schematics, wiring diagrams, and system configurations accurately for future reference.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure proper cable termination, network wiring integrity, and overall system functionality.
• Provide on-site field service support for client installations or maintenance requests related to data center infrastructure.

• Proven experience as a service technician or field technician within data centers or telecommunications environments.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, network installation, and telecommunication systems.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic systems installation, fiber splicing, and cable termination techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues related to telephony (including VoIP), network wiring, or telecommunication systems.
• Service-oriented mindset with excellent customer service skills in fast-paced environments.
