Job description

  • Working across disciplines to define the platform’s requirements
  • Working with the hardware team to define the architecture of the platform
  • Designing and documenting the hardware platform
  • Schematic and BOM capture
  • Working with the CAD team on the PWB layout
  • Lab-based design verification and integration
  • Transition of the design to small volume production

Requirements

  • BSEE or MSEE in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • High-speed digital/baseband, power management, & analog circuit experience
  • Strong lab skills (strong debugging skills, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).

The following skills are highly desired:

  • Experience working with 1GHz+ ARM or x86 hardware platforms that include DDRx memory interfaces.
  • Experience working on signal and power integrity issues.
  • Familiarity with high-speed serial interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, etc.)
  • Experience with industry standard schematic capture tools
  • Familiarity with power supply design / topologies and low-power design techniques

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $93,800.00 - $140,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
