Job description
- Lead bring-up and integration of the DSP subsystem and safety processor on the iRDK platform.
- Own the real-time audio pipeline, including codec integration, Audio HAL development, latency characterization, and validation.
- Integrate and validate safety subsystems, including lockstep cores, safety monitors, and FTTI analysis.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for DSP firmware, development tools, and vendor support teams.
- Validate real-time performance and audio quality against program acceptance criteria.
- Document DSP, audio, and safety subsystem bring-up status for program reviews and milestones.
- Perform hardware-level debugging and troubleshooting using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with TI DSP platforms (C7xxx, C66x, or equivalent).
- Strong expertise in RTOS environments such as TI SYS/BIOS, FreeRTOS, or similar.
- Experience with audio subsystem bring-up, including ALSA, Audio HAL, codec integration, I2S, and SoundWire.
- Knowledge of functional safety concepts, including lockstep architectures, self-test libraries, and FTTI modeling.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based systems.
- Experience with TI Code Composer Studio (CCS) and embedded development toolchains.
- Strong hardware debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools.
