Real-Time Operating Systems Toolchain Bare Metal Hardware Debugging

Job description

Lead bring-up and integration of the DSP subsystem and safety processor on the iRDK platform.
Own the real-time audio pipeline, including codec integration, Audio HAL development, latency characterization, and validation.
Integrate and validate safety subsystems, including lockstep cores, safety monitors, and FTTI analysis.
Serve as the primary technical interface for DSP firmware, development tools, and vendor support teams.
Validate real-time performance and audio quality against program acceptance criteria.
Document DSP, audio, and safety subsystem bring-up status for program reviews and milestones.
Perform hardware-level debugging and troubleshooting using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Requirements

5+ years of embedded software development experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with TI DSP platforms (C7xxx, C66x, or equivalent).
Strong expertise in RTOS environments such as TI SYS/BIOS, FreeRTOS, or similar.
Experience with audio subsystem bring-up, including ALSA, Audio HAL, codec integration, I2S, and SoundWire.
Knowledge of functional safety concepts, including lockstep architectures, self-test libraries, and FTTI modeling.
Strong programming skills in C/C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based systems.
Experience with TI Code Composer Studio (CCS) and embedded development toolchains.
Strong hardware debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG tools.
