Cloud Computing Disaster Recovery Payment Systems Monitoring of Systems Key Management Performance Tuning Reliability Engineering Prometheus Grafana Cloudwatch Terraform

Job description

  1. You know that feeling - the “yeah!” when your code goes live and instantly impacts millions of users. That’s exactly what we’re looking for.
  2. You see that the future of e-commerce lies with marketplaces - and you want to help build the financial infrastructure that makes this possible.
  3. You thrive in an environment that’s all about tech. That’s why we’ve transformed an entire location into a tech-only office with all the tools, inspiring workspaces, and (not unimportant) the best coffee in Delft.

What you’ll do as a Site Reliability Engineer at Online Payment Platform

What started with five people, a small office, and a couple of Nerf guns has grown into one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs. With 100+ colleagues, offices in Delft, Berlin, and London, and Worldline as a partner, we have the perfect mix: the resources of a global player, combined with the energy of a scale-up. At OPP, we build the technology that powers the next generation of e-commerce. From eBay to IKEA: billions of transactions already run through our systems. We don’t just process payments - we make it possible for platforms to receive, manage, and pay out funds. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, scaling, and improving the reliability and performance of our platform and infrastructure. You’ll make sure our systems run smoothly and continuously improve them. Your work will have a direct impact on millions of users who rely on our payment technology every day.

Your impact

  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to track the performance of our infrastructure.
  • Automate incident response, monitoring, and workflows for on-call support.
  • Optimize the scalability and performance of our platform by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and handle escalations during incidents.

Requirements

Your profile

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana stack.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Understanding of performance tuning & scaling.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, secrets management, and compliance auditing.
  • Experience with incident management and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
  • For this position, we are looking for someone residing in the Netherlands.

Benefits & conditions

  • An all-in annual salary between €45.000 and €90.000.
  • A modern, flexible workplace with hybrid working.
  • 24 vacation days and 2 Diversity Days .
  • 12-month contract with the possibility of extension and finally a permanent contract.
  • The tools you need: a MacBook, €1000 for your home office setup, and NS Business Card.
  • An attractive bike plan if you work 24 hours or more.
  • A developers-only office at Lange Geer 26, within walking distance of our sales and product teams in the heart of Delft.
  • A great work atmosphere with catered lunches and regular team drinks.

About the company

At OPP, we believe that different perspectives make better decisions. We are a diverse team and value you for who you are, not just your CV, so we encourage you to apply even if you don’t check every box. We are committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone can make an impact. If you need any adjustments or accommodations to participate fully in our recruitment process, please let us know so we can support you.
