Job description

  • Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
  • Apply strong knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering industry.
  • Establish and implement standards, processes, procedures, and workflows.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced team members.
  • Perform construction administration activities - responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and other related activities.
  • May perform project or design management duties.
  • May travel (<10%) to customer sites for field inspections.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Fundamentals of Engineering license?, Do you have a valid Engineer in Training certification?, Do you have experience in Team building?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering?, LBE, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a motivated full-time EIT or entry-level Electrical Engineer in its Moncks Corner, SC office. The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience working for an engineering firm and must have experience with electrical design, detailing, and other relevant documentation. Our projects include new construction and renovation projects across federal, commercial, and industrial business sectors in the United States and abroad. Our projects include low voltage (<1000V) distribution and branch circuits, medium voltage (1000V-35kV) distribution, lighting, lightning protection, data centers, and other specialty electrical systems., Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university

-EIT or actively registered for the FE exam.

-Basic knowledge of the NEC (NFPA 70).

-Electrical building system design experience

-Proficiency in production software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Auto CAD

-Ability to prioritize and execute tasks accurately, effectively, and confidently;

-Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

-Effective verbal and written communication skills.

-Eligibility for a U.S. Security clearance

Desired Experience:

-Experience working on federal projects with knowledge of the UFC and UFGS.

-BIM (Autodesk Revit), SKM Power Analysis, and lighting foot-candle level calculations programs.

-Knowledge of NFPA 780, NFPA 101, and related codes.

-Previous experience working in manufacturing or construction., License: Professional Engineering (Required)
