SAP Development Coordinator

Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives - whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics.

Your role

As SAP Development Coordinator (f/m/x), you are part of the internal SMT IT organization. In your day-to-day work, your task is the technical implementation of sometimes complex business requirements based on solution designs, as well as providing internal support with technical analyses.

You coordinate development resources, both internal and external. In the upcoming S/4HANA migration, you see yourself as a technically oriented link to the implementing implementation partners. Your tasks include, among others: programming, debugging, review of results delivered by external service providers, functional testing and, where applicable, customizing. Your top priority in all of this is business continuity.

• You have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a comparable field
• You are solution-oriented and committed to ensuring that the application, your expertise and your implementations create sustainable added value for the business departments using them
• You know the difference between communicated solution designs and the optimal implementation in the ERP system, can clearly explain the resulting differences, and contribute to the implementation both conceptually and in a goal-oriented manner
• You have around years of experience as an SAP developer and are used to organizing yourself independently even when faced with overlapping time-critical demands
• You have in-depth knowledge in several of the following technologies: Classic ABAP, ABAP OO, ABAP RAP, ABAP Test Cockpit, Fiori Elements, CDS virtual data model, Adobe Forms
• You have at least advanced knowledge of the approaches Clean Core, Classic Extensibility, Key User Extensibility and Developer Extensibility
• Relevant experience gained in an migration project rounds off your profile
• good German and English skills

SMT IT sees itself as an internal provider of support services for the business departments and production sites of ZEISS, the global market leader in lithography. Due to the strong growth of the SMT division expected in the foreseeable future, new requirements continually arise for processes to be implemented in SAP. In particular, we support the upcoming Bluefield migration to S/4HANA and are therefore expanding our existing consulting and support team with several experienced SAP specialists as of now.
