Job description

As a Data Warehouse Architect, you will lead the design and modernization of enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics solutions. This role focuses on developing scalable data architectures, driving cloud and data platform innovation, establishing governance and security standards, and enabling data-driven business outcomes through modern data, analytics, and machine learning technologies., Design and maintain scalable enterprise data platform and data warehouse architectures. Lead modernization initiatives involving cloud-based data, analytics, and reporting solutions. Develop target-state data architecture aligned with enterprise data strategy and business objectives. Establish data governance, security, metadata management, and compliance frameworks. Oversee implementation of data platform components including data lakes, streaming, orchestration, and analytics services. Collaborate with business, engineering, security, and analytics teams to define technical roadmaps. Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and evaluate emerging data technologies and platforms. Drive vendor evaluation, RFI/RFP processes, and technology selection activities. Define architecture standards, reference architectures, and best practices for data engineering teams. Ensure data products, pipelines, and analytics solutions adhere to enterprise architecture and security standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise data strategies and data architecture frameworks using TOGAF, FEAF, DODAF, or similar methodologies. Minimum 5 years of experience creating reference architectures, architecture patterns, and conducting architecture reviews within large enterprises. Minimum 3 years of experience leading RFP/RFI processes, technology evaluations, and vendor partnerships for enterprise data platforms. Strong expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Delta Lake, Enterprise Data Platforms (EDP), and Databricks. Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and Java for data and analytics solutions. Experience architecting data, analytics, and machine learning platforms across cloud environments. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, compliance, and data security best practices. Experience implementing scalable ETL, reporting, analytics, operational data stores, and performance monitoring solutions. Knowledge of modern analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, NoSQL databases, and Graph databases. The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $90.00/hr.
