Computer Systems Engineer/Architect

GovCIO LLC seeks a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to design, integrate, and optimize secure enterprise and cloud systems for federal agencies. You’ll lead architecture design, modernization, and migration initiatives, bridging on-prem and cloud platforms to support mission-critical programs. Responsibilities include system design, performance tuning, automation, security and compliance alignment, documentation, and technical leadership. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional and government stakeholders, mentor engineers, and drive innovative, scalable solutions that improve citizen-facing services and mission outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and document secure enterprise and cloud system architectures for federal customers
• Lead modernization, migration, and integration of on-prem and cloud environments
• Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code for deployment and configuration
• Optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability
• Ensure systems meet federal security and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical solutions
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on projects
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and drive root-cause analysis
