Job description
Kaiser Permanente seeks a Senior IT Applications Engineer to design, build, and optimize Java-based enterprise applications in a complex healthcare environment. You will architect scalable services, integrate with internal and third party systems, and improve performance, reliability, and security. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements, implement clean, testable code, and support CI/CD pipelines. Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical standards while driving continuous improvement of applications that support key clinical and business operations., * Design and develop scalable Java-based enterprise applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine technical requirements
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing
- Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and architecture decisions
