Job description

Purpose: To provide support to the Director of Technology, provide application support, and help desk support to users across the district. Coordinate activities within the office and throughout the district., + Provide technical phone and email support for the technology department.

  • Send out district-wide Help Desk communications.
  • Serve as the liaison with the district office and school administration as needed.
  • Assist with ordering equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with communication with building product support technicians..
  • Provides support for director of technology; budgets, correspondence, purchase orders, scheduling, ordering supplies, miscellaneous billings, etc
  • Receive new hardware, software, and related supplies
  • Provide inventory control for supplies and hardware
  • Stock, dispense, and bill supplies and all technology purchases
  • Create and process POs and purchases for the technology department as needed or requested with approval from the supervisor.
  • Manage access to and help prioritize activities for the Technology Director.
  • Assist with new staff/employee orientation.
  • Maintain personnel information, including time records, sick leave, vacation, and holiday pay.
  • Assist in managing department budgets.
  • Assist with PowerSchool and serve as a backup resource, and be able to train end users when needed.
  • Help maintain or manage databases, applications, and specific district tools (ClassLink)
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

  • Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in an office work environment
  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs Evaluation: In accordance with Kansas Statutes and Board of Education Policy.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a positive, flexible team environment with a variety of people
  • Knowledge of human resource management
  • Demonstrate time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal team building, written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide quality customer service and technology support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn and work with databases and applications
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests relate to IT issues
  • Ability to respond to customers via chat, email, phone, or video
  • Ability to remain calm and friendly with frustrated users
  • Able to walk users through technical processes
