Order Picker & Warehouse Inventory Coordinator

For over 30 years, Kan Herb Company has manufactured Chinese herbal medicines in Santa Cruz, in our facility near Costco. We’re a trusted leader in Chinese herbal medicine, supplying licensed healthcare professionals nationwide. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, computer-comfortable person to keep our small fulfillment operation running accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on operations role - you’ll spend your day both at a computer and on your feet, making sure orders go out correctly and inventory stays accurate. If you’re organized, good with software, and take pride in doing careful work, you’ll fit right in.

Schedule: In person, Monday-Thursday, 9.5-hour shifts. Occasional Fridays as needed.

What you’ll do:

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time
• Use our ERP system to process orders and track inventory
• Receive and stock incoming product; verify and record quantities
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in twice-yearly physical inventory
• Rotate stock and perform lot number checks to ensure product freshness
• Complete paperwork for international shipments following established protocols
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and running smoothly

Do you have experience in Computer literacy?, * Solid, confident computer skills - you’re comfortable learning new software

• Strong attention to detail (we carry many similar-looking products)
• Organized and methodical; you notice when something is off
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• A collaborative attitude - this is a small team

Bonus points for:

• Experience with ERP or inventory management software
• Familiarity with Shopify order fulfillment
• International shipping experience
