Job description

  • Nedap in Healthcare o Back

  • Careers Fullstack Developer Groenlo, Netherlands 32 - 38 hrs € 4.000 - € 5.300 Hybrid What are you going to do? “Build the next phase of iD Cloud Store, where growing scale, richer data, and evolving customer needs come together in one web application.” Retailers use iD Cloud to stay in control of what is happening across their stores. The Store application supports more and more of their daily operation: from understanding inventory and stock counts to seeing whether expected activities on the shop floor have actually been completed. As our customer base grows and larger enterprise retailers adopt iD Cloud, what they expect from the application is changing as well. The next step is to develop Store beyond a primarily process-driven application into an environment that also gives store employees and managers richer, more relevant insights. As a Fullstack Developer, you help build that next phase. You develop new features for iD Cloud Store and work across the full web stack. In our current architecture, Ruby forms the middleware layer and Vue.js powers the frontend. You do not need to know this exact combination already; what matters more is that you have experience with modern web development and deliberately choose a role in which you work across frontend and backend. Together with a growing development team, you shape how new functionality is designed technically, how we keep the application dependable as usage grows, and how we expose data in ways that retailers can actually use in their daily operation. Start your application Your responsibilities Build new Store features Develop functionality that helps retailers monitor store processes and gain richer insights into inventory, sales, merchandising, and product performance. Work end to end Contribute across Ruby middleware and the Vue.js frontend instead of being limited to one layer of the application. Scale with our customers Strengthen the reliability and scalability of the application as usage and enterprise requirements increase. Shape technical choices Work with the team on architecture, implementation, code reviews, and the technical direction of our web applications. Keep the service running Take part in the team’s on-call rotation and help maintain a dependable product for customers worldwide. Your team You join a growing development team within retail at Nedap. The team is becoming less tied to individual propositions such as Sense or iD Cloud and increasingly works across shared web and frontend needs. That creates room to learn from colleagues with different development backgrounds, while taking ownership across the complete stack. You will usually work from our Campus in Groenlo around two days per week and coordinate the rest with your team. Our offer, Good to know: You are available for 32-38 hours per week. Hybrid working is common at Nedap, and you and your team coordinate your working hours to achieve a good work-life balance. You will usually be present at our Campus in Groenlo around 3 days per week. And beyond your experience, it is important to us that you identify with our culture and values and are eager to contribute to our purpose of creating Technology for Life. Have we got you curious? Requirements

You enjoy understanding how a web application works from data and middleware through to the experience in the browser. You do not need to arrive as a Ruby specialist, but you do want to work fullstack and are comfortable learning a new framework when needed. You take ownership of features, work constructively in reviews, and care about software that remains reliable as complexity grows.

  • You bring around three years or more of relevant professional software development experience. Strong candidates with less experience are not automatically excluded.
  • You have completed at least a bachelor-level degree (HBO or university) in Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • You have experience with a modern web framework, for example Ruby on Rails, PHP/Symfony, Laravel, Node.js, or a comparable technology.
  • You want to work across the full application stack rather than specialize exclusively in frontend or backend development.

Benefits & conditions

We have the ambition, and the opportunity to shape the future. And we need people with the drive to turn that into meaningful impact. You get the chance to contribute to something truly unique, alongside more than 1,000 driven and like-minded colleagues. From day one, you help us fulfill our purpose: Technology for Life. The way you grow, take initiative, and deliver impact helps bring that purpose to life. We shape what’s next. Together.

  • Financial benefits: a 13th month, a solid pension plan, profit sharing, and the opportunity to become a Nedap shareholder.
  • Space and trust: you coordinate your own working hours and vacation days with your colleagues to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional challenge: room to explore ideas, work on increasingly complex web products, and help a growing team scale its way of working.
  • Development opportunities: you take the lead in your personal and professional growth within Nedap.
  • On-call duty: after a thorough onboarding period, you will take part in the team’s on-call rotation. In practice, you will be on call approximately once every six weeks. Nedap provides an on-call allowance for this.
