Job description

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our restaurant group. In this role, you will maintain IT systems and networks under the direction of the IT Support Manager and collaborate with the VP of IT on administrative tasks. You will be responsible for both technical and administrative duties to ensure the efficiency and smooth operation of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in software, hardware, and networking, along with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, as you will be providing support to end-users and working closely with various teams., * Manage and maintain Toast POS databases for multiple restaurant concepts.

  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Handle personnel updates for IT systems, including onboarding and removal.
  • Assist with adding vendors and products to the inventory system.
  • Provide support for point-of-sale (POS) systems and troubleshooting.
  • Offer technical support to office staff, remote users, and locations nationwide.
  • Advise on the best IT solutions and tools for company needs.
  • Provide training and support for systems and applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and data recovery as needed.
  • Help manage software licenses and maintain an upgrade schedule.

Requirements

Do you have experience in POS systems?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * 1-3 years of experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency in networking and help desk support.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for IT systems.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration and Azure Active Directory.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working independently and in a collaborative, team-based environment., * High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred), * 5 years of help desk support (Preferred)
  • 2 years of POS troubleshooting (Required), * High school or equivalent (Preferred), * Help desk: 5 years (Preferred)
  • POS troubleshooting: 2 years (Required)
