Job description

A global leader in scientific instrumentation is recruiting for aSenior C++ Software Engineerto strengthen their Software Engineering team. The company is investing heavily in a multi-year strategic programme, with an increasing number of projects focused on developing next-generation instrument control software across a range of scientific products.

AsSenior C++ Software Engineer, you’ll be working alongside a multidisciplinary team designing and developing instrument control software, enhancing existing platforms while contributing to the development of new technologies across Mass Spectrometry, Chromatography and Informatics.

Requirements

Senior/principal candidates should ideally have mass spec/scientific background, otherwise mid-level candidates without this experience can be considered.

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Scientific background -desirable
  • Background in embedded or acquisition system software
  • C++ and/or C# programming (essential)
  • Embedded or hardware control software experience
  • Understanding of Unit Testing, TDD, CI/CD and SOLID principles
  • Linux, Angular, TypeScript (desirable)
