Job description

  • Work with business stakeholders to identify, shape, and prioritise machine learning and data product opportunities
  • Lead an agile squad of data specialists, setting direction, vision, and delivery priorities
  • Own and maintain product roadmaps and backlogs, ensuring stories are refined and ready for delivery
  • Drive value delivery by tracking outcomes and articulating realised business benefits
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters to embed Agile principles and support a high-performing, self-organising team
  • Champion the use of reporting, analytics, AI, and ML to enhance claims processes and customer outcomes
  • Build strong relationships across IT, data, business teams, and global Allianz stakeholders
  • Promote best practices in data architecture, governance, and product development

Requirements

  • Degree in a numerate, scientific, or computing discipline (e.g. Data Science, Maths, Computer Science, Economics)
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner delivering modern products in an agile environment
  • Strong leadership capability with experience motivating, developing, and guiding teams
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple levels
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable business value through data or product initiatives
  • Confident decision-making with a results-driven mindset
  • Highly organised with excellent planning and delivery focus
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and influencing skills, * Experience in data value management including governance, quality, and ownership
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Familiarity with Python, PySpark, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts
  • Understanding of DevOps, automated testing, and release management
  • Knowledge of insurance principles or claims processes
  • Experience working in experimental or empirical product environments
  • Familiarity with Agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence
  • Agile certifications such as PSPO, CSPO, or SPC
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage and awareness of ethical AI principles
