IT Field Engineer

At Vertu Motors, technology plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer experience across our 200+ dealerships. We’re looking for a hands-on IT Field Engineer to support sites across the South East, including Harlow, Chingford, Waltham Cross, Bromley, Orpington, Slough, Reading, Ascot, Beaconsfield and Aylesbury. This is a varied, field-based role where you’ll provide onsite and remote support, resolve technical issues, install new equipment and support exciting projects including dealership openings, relocations and acquisitions. What You’ll Do

• Provide onsite and remote IT support across your region.
• Install, maintain and replace PCs, laptops, tablets, printers and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking and connectivity issues.
• Support telephony, infrastructure and dealership technology systems.
• Assist with site openings, refurbishments and technology projects.
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records.
• Escalate complex technical issues and identify long-term solutions.

• Experience in a 2nd Line, Desktop Support or Field IT Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows devices, hardware and peripherals.
• Understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and wireless networks.
• Experience with Active Directory/Entra ID and exposure to Intune or Autopilot.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Well organised, self-motivated and comfortable working across multiple sites.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.

Desirable Skills

• Cisco Meraki networking.
• Microsoft, Cisco or CompTIA certifications.
• Motor trade or dealership systems experience.
• Experience supporting site openings, relocations or acquisitions., We’re looking for people who demonstrate drive, character, attitude, energy and talent. Technical skills are important, but success in this role comes from combining expertise with a proactive, customer-focused approach. This role does not meet the skill level requirements for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under current UK immigration rules.
